Whether for a bachelor's, a master's, an internship, a work-study programme or a permanent job, in any interview they want to understand who you are. But you're much more than grades, work experience or even a TOEFL score.
That's where personal projects, and generally everything that happens outside studies and work, play a key role.
The more passionate you are about your activities, the more they'll say about you! And sometimes they can even open doors you'd never have imagined!
Anecdote: almost a year ago, I joined a DeepTech start-up as an intern, in a field where I had no experience. Not because they were desperate, but because I was passionate about painting.
Of course, my passion for painting didn't do everything, and actually it could have been dancing, running or a passion for video games. But that's what set me apart from the others.
So cultivating a passion or developing a personal project is a chance to show who you are to the person in front of you.
But the most important thing is how you show it!
